another vent

im disappointed and appalled of what i heard from wendell today. but i still blame the devil for putting thoughts and confusion into the minds of God's people. I don't believe that people actually mean it when they say harsh and nasty things. I believe this is the influence of Satan's tricks being played upon that person. I'm disappointed of the things that were said, and concerned about the current situation. But i know that God will not abandon His people. He will not let Satan win as long as God has servants who are committed and loyal to Him. Satan might be winning this inning, but that doesn't mean he will win the game.

I pray that God will grace us with His presence and the Holy Spirit will grant us wisdom to fully see what Satan is serving on our plate. I pray that people will realize that God would never want to lose soldiers in the battlefield and that Satan will only win if no one desires to be accountable for his brother and sister in Christ. It is a dangerous world out there, especially with a hungry lion waiting to pounce on a lonely and isolated prey. I pray that other Christians will not swerve from what other people say or gossip. I pray that God continues to guide and protect His children because to lose a soul to the devil could mean losing hundreds more.

Matthew 1

The Genealogy of Jesus
 1A record of the genealogy of Jesus Christ the son of David, the son of Abraham:
    2Abraham was the father of Isaac,
         Isaac the father of Jacob,
         Jacob the father of Judah and his brothers,
       3Judah the father of Perez and Zerah, whose mother was Tamar,
         Perez the father of Hezron,
         Hezron the father of Ram,
       4Ram the father of Amminadab,
         Amminadab the father of Nahshon,
         Nahshon the father of Salmon,
       5Salmon the father of Boaz, whose mother was Rahab,
         Boaz the father of Obed, whose mother was Ruth,
         Obed the father of Jesse,
       6and Jesse the father of King David.
      David was the father of Solomon, whose mother had been Uriah's wife,
    7Solomon the father of Rehoboam,
         Rehoboam the father of Abijah,
         Abijah the father of Asa,
       8Asa the father of Jehoshaphat,
         Jehoshaphat the father of Jehoram,
         Jehoram the father of Uzziah,
       9Uzziah the father of Jotham,
         Jotham the father of Ahaz,
         Ahaz the father of Hezekiah,
       10Hezekiah the father of Manasseh,
         Manasseh the father of Amon,
         Amon the father of Josiah,
       11and Josiah the father of Jeconiah and his brothers at the time of the exile to Babylon.
    12After the exile to Babylon:
         Jeconiah was the father of Shealtiel,
         Shealtiel the father of Zerubbabel,
       13Zerubbabel the father of Abiud,
         Abiud the father of Eliakim,
         Eliakim the father of Azor,
       14Azor the father of Zadok,
         Zadok the father of Akim,
         Akim the father of Eliud,
       15Eliud the father of Eleazar,
         Eleazar the father of Matthan,
         Matthan the father of Jacob,
       16and Jacob the father of Joseph, the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ.

 17Thus there were fourteen generations in all from Abraham to David, fourteen from David to the exile to Babylon, and fourteen from the exile to the Christ.

The Birth of Jesus Christ
 18This is how the birth of Jesus Christ came about: His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be with child through the Holy Spirit. 19Because Joseph her husband was a righteous man and did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly.

 20But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, "Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. 21She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins."

 22All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: 23"The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel"—which means, "God with us."

 24When Joseph woke up, he did what the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took Mary home as his wife. 25But he had no union with her until she gave birth to a son. And he gave him the name Jesus.

--------It took a long time for Jesus to be born and alot of generations until the Lord finally decided its the right time to send them a messiah. God knew what He was doing. Its just amazing how everything fell into place from the beginning til the birth of Jesus Christ. I kind of wonder though, if we still have somewhat control of our lives because if God all ready knows what were going to do, then that kinda means we really don't have free will. Right? I don't know. All i know is that God will still love you no matter what you do. He might punish you for what you did, but he will still love you because You are his child.

Genesis 1

1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

 2 Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.

 3 And God said, "Let there be light," and there was light. 4 God saw that the light was good, and He separated the light from the darkness. 5 God called the light "day," and the darkness he called "night." And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day.

 6 And God said, "Let there be an expanse between the waters to separate water from water." 7 So God made the expanse and separated the water under the expanse from the water above it. And it was so. 8 God called the expanse "sky." And there was evening, and there was morning—the second day.

 9 And God said, "Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear." And it was so. 10 God called the dry ground "land," and the gathered waters he called "seas." And God saw that it was good.

 11 Then God said, "Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds." And it was so. 12 The land produced vegetation: plants bearing seed according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good. 13 And there was evening, and there was morning—the third day.

 14 And God said, "Let there be lights in the expanse of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark seasons and days and years, 15 and let them be lights in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth." And it was so. 16 God made two great lights—the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars. 17 God set them in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth, 18 to govern the day and the night, and to separate light from darkness. And God saw that it was good. 19 And there was evening, and there was morning—the fourth day.

 20 And God said, "Let the water teem with living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the expanse of the sky." 21 So God created the great creatures of the sea and every living and moving thing with which the water teems, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. 22 God blessed them and said, "Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the water in the seas, and let the birds increase on the earth." 23 And there was evening, and there was morning—the fifth day.

 24 And God said, "Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds: livestock, creatures that move along the ground, and wild animals, each according to its kind." And it was so. 25 God made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.

 26 Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground."

 27 So God created man in his own image,
       in the image of God he created him;
       male and female he created them.

 28 God blessed them and said to them, "Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and over every living creature that moves on the ground."

 29 Then God said, "I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food. 30 And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds of the air and all the creatures that move on the ground—everything that has the breath of life in it—I give every green plant for food." And it was so.

 31 God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning—the sixth day.

------Even from the beginning God knew what we were going to need. He knew that we were gonna need the sun for warmth and vision, plants and animals for food, water for drink, night for sleep, and air for breathing. Even though He created us to guard and take care of His creation, His creation fulfill our needs. If He knew what we were gonna need from the start, imagine how much He knows about our needs now. He even knew that we were gonna need a savior and He gave us one.

Proverbs 1
Prologue: Purpose and Theme
 1 The proverbs of Solomon son of David, king of Israel:

 2 for attaining wisdom and discipline;
       for understanding words of insight;

 3 for acquiring a disciplined and prudent life,
       doing what is right and just and fair;

 4 for giving prudence to the simple,
       knowledge and discretion to the young-

 5 let the wise listen and add to their learning,
       and let the discerning get guidance-

 6 for understanding proverbs and parables,
       the sayings and riddles of the wise.

 7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge,
       but fools [a] despise wisdom and discipline.

Exhortations to Embrace Wisdom
Warning Against Enticement
 8 Listen, my son, to your father's instruction
       and do not forsake your mother's teaching.

 9 They will be a garland to grace your head
       and a chain to adorn your neck.

 10 My son, if sinners entice you,
       do not give in to them.

 11 If they say, "Come along with us;
       let's lie in wait for someone's blood,
       let's waylay some harmless soul;

 12 let's swallow them alive, like the grave, [b]
       and whole, like those who go down to the pit;

 13 we will get all sorts of valuable things
       and fill our houses with plunder;

 14 throw in your lot with us,
       and we will share a common purse"-

 15 my son, do not go along with them,
       do not set foot on their paths;

 16 for their feet rush into sin,
       they are swift to shed blood.

 17 How useless to spread a net
       in full view of all the birds!

 18 These men lie in wait for their own blood;
       they waylay only themselves!

 19 Such is the end of all who go after ill-gotten gain;
       it takes away the lives of those who get it.

Warning Against Rejecting Wisdom
 20 Wisdom calls aloud in the street,
       she raises her voice in the public squares;

 21 at the head of the noisy streets [c] she cries out,
       in the gateways of the city she makes her speech:

 22 "How long will you simple ones [d] love your simple ways?
       How long will mockers delight in mockery
       and fools hate knowledge?

 23 If you had responded to my rebuke,
       I would have poured out my heart to you
       and made my thoughts known to you.

 24 But since you rejected me when I called
       and no one gave heed when I stretched out my hand,

 25 since you ignored all my advice
       and would not accept my rebuke,

 26 I in turn will laugh at your disaster;
       I will mock when calamity overtakes you-

 27 when calamity overtakes you like a storm,
       when disaster sweeps over you like a whirlwind,
       when distress and trouble overwhelm you.

 28 "Then they will call to me but I will not answer;
       they will look for me but will not find me.

 29 Since they hated knowledge
       and did not choose to fear the LORD,

 30 since they would not accept my advice
       and spurned my rebuke,

 31 they will eat the fruit of their ways
       and be filled with the fruit of their schemes.

 32 For the waywardness of the simple will kill them,
       and the complacency of fools will destroy them;

 33 but whoever listens to me will live in safety
       and be at ease, without fear of harm."

--------God warned us of what this world will try and do to us, but still like reckless and rebellious teenagers we continued to disregard them. When my brother was younger, my mom would always heed him with precautions and my brothers response would be "I know.. I know.." I guess at the time he did know, but didn't take it with seriousness. Even i was like that when i was younger. Always responding "I know" but really did not care at that exact moment. It was like "it goes in one ear and out the other" kind of thing. But now i know that i didn't FULLY know. However, now I do know all the repercussions of my actions, but i still continue to act on those sins. Even after the fore-warnings and admonishments.

I pray that i continue to seek His faith and His love and that I may be able to stand for Him and only Him. God help me avert from my "simple ways" and continue to walk by Your side. Help me shine Your light so that my friends can realize the truth. I am sorry for not realizing all these things. I will continue to seek you and give you glory. Thank you for everything you've done. It's now or never Lord and i'm ready to start anew.

I GOTTA FIND YOU

I GOTTA FIND YOU

original; joseph adam jonas

(verse one)

Everytime I think I'm close to the heart of what it means to know just who I am. I think I've finally found a better place to start. But no one ever seems to understand. I need to try to get to where you are. Could it be you're not that far?

(chorus)

You're the voice I hear inside my head, the reason that I'm singing. I need to find you. I gotta find you. And you're the missing piece I need the song inside of me. I need to find you. I gotta find you.

(verse two)

You're the remedy I'm searching hard to find to fix the puzzle that I see inside. Waiting on my dreams; the color os your smile. When I find you it will be alright. I need to try to get to where you are. Could it be you're not that far?

(chorus)

(bridge)

Been feeling lost I cant find the words to say. Spending all my time stuck in yesterday. Where you are is where is where I wanna be. All next to you... and you next to me.

(chorus)
